This guide explains how to install, set up, and operate your Spear & Jackson 1800W Power Washer. Follow the steps below alongside the installation and operation video to ensure safe and effective use.

Before You Start

Before assembling the power washer, ensure that:

  • All components are present and undamaged.
  • The water supply is available and turned off.
  • The power switch is in the OFF position.
  • The machine is placed on a stable, level surface.
  • You have appropriate eye and hearing protection available.

Step 1: Unpack the Power Washer

Remove all components from the packaging and verify that you have:

  1. High pressure hose
  2. Foam bottle
  3. Patio cleaner accessory
  4. Fixed brush accessory
  5. Patio cleaner lance
  6. Extension lance
  7. Spray gun
  8. High pressure washer
  9. Adjustable & turbo nozzles
  10. Storage for cord & hose
  11. Extension lance storage
  12. Spray gun storage
  13. Instruction manuals
  14. Screwdriver
  15. Hose connector

Step 2: Connect the High-Pressure Hose

  1. Locate the high-pressure outlet on the front of the washer.
  2. Attach the high-pressure hose to the outlet.

Press the button & pull to release the hose.

Step 3: Install the Water Inlet Connector

  1. Locate the water inlet on the rear of the machine.
  2. Attach the supplied inlet connector.
  3. Hand-tighten the fitting securely.
  4. Do not overtighten with tools.

Press the red button and pull to release.

Step 4: Connect the Garden Hose

  1. Connect your garden hose to the inlet connector.
  2. Ensure all fittings are secure.
  3. Turn on the water supply.
  4. Check for any leaks before proceeding.

Step 5: Install the Smart Spray Gun

  1. Unscrew the battery lid
  2. Install two AAA batteries
  3. Refit the battery lid
  4. Use the red button to switch modes.
  5. Insert the other end of the hose into the gun

Step 6: Connect the Power Supply

  1. Confirm the ON/OFF switch is set to OFF.
  2. Plug the power washer into a suitable mains socket.
  3. Ensure the cable is positioned away from water and walkways.

Step 7: Start the Power Washer

  1. Turn on the water supply fully.
  2. Unlock the safety trigger on the spray gun.
  3. Squeeze the trigger until water flows steadily.
  4. Switch the machine to the ON position.
  5. Press the trigger to begin pressure washing.

Step 8: Adjust the Spray Pattern

Depending on your model and attachment:

  • Use a wider spray for vehicles and delicate surfaces.
  • Use a narrower spray for tougher cleaning jobs.
  • Always test the spray on an inconspicuous area first.
