Overview

Assembling the handles on your cordless lawnmower is an important step to ensure safe and comfortable operation. While the exact design may vary slightly between models, most lawnmowers use a similar handle structure consisting of lower handles attached to the mower body and upper handles secured using quick-release clamps.

Correct assembly ensures the handles are stable, properly aligned, and safely locked in place before use.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Connect the Lower Handles to the Mower

  • Locate the lower handle sections.
  • Align them with the mounting points on the mower body.
  • Insert the handles fully into position.
  • Some models may require firm pressure to ensure a secure fit.

Step 2: Assemble the Upper Handles

Most models use a quick-release clamp system at the mid-point of the handles.

Step 1: Insert the Bolt

  • Insert the bolt from the inside of the handle frame.
  • Ensure the bolt head is positioned on the inside of the handle.

Step 2: Fit the Washer

  • Place the washer on the outside of the handle frame.
  • Ensure it sits flush against the surface.

Step 3: Attach the Quick-Release Clamp

  • Screw the quick-release clamp lever onto the exposed bolt thread.
  • Tighten until the handle feels secure but still adjustable if needed.

Step 4: Lock the Handle in Place

  • Once the correct tightness is achieved, press the lever down.
  • This locks the handle firmly into position.

Step 3: Final Alignment Check

  • Ensure both left and right handles are aligned evenly.
  • Check that all bolts and clamps are tight and secure.
  • Make sure there is no movement or looseness in the handle structure.

My 108V Cordless Lawnmower Is Vibrating Excessively

Overview

Excessive vibration in your 108V cordless lawnmower is usually caused by an unbalanced, loose, or damaged blade. This can happen if the blade has struck an obstacle such as stones, roots, or hard debris in the garden, or if the blade or adapter components have become worn or corroded.

In some cases, rust, bending, or damage to the blade mounting lugs can also affect balance and lead to vibration during operation. If the blade is damaged, it must be replaced before further use.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Switch Off and Secure the Mower

  • Turn the mower off completely.
  • Remove the battery and safety key (if fitted).
  • Ensure the mower cannot be started accidentally.
  • Step 2: Inspect the Blade

    • Carefully check the blade for:
      • Cracks or bends
      • Rust or heavy wear
      • Damage from impact with objects
    • Check the blade adapter lugs for signs of shearing or damage.
  • ⚠️ If any damage is found, the blade must be replaced.

Step 3: Remove a Stuck or Tight Blade (If Required)

If the blade is damaged and difficult to remove:

    Step 1: Secure the Blade

    • Use a strong wooden block or similar object.
    • Wedge it firmly to prevent the blade from moving.
  • Step 2: Loosen the Blade Bolt

    • Use a socket wrench on the blade fixing bolt.
    • Turn the bolt anti-clockwise.
    • Apply firm initial force, then continue loosening gradually.
  • Step 3: Remove the Blade

    • Once the bolt is removed, carefully take off the blade.
    • Inspect the mounting area for damage or debris.
  • Step 4: Install the New Blade

    • Position the new blade onto the blade adapter correctly.
    • Ensure it is seated properly and aligned.
    • Refit the blade bolt.
    • Tighten securely using the socket wrench.
  • Step 5: Final Safety Check

    • Confirm the blade is firmly fixed and does not move.
    • Ensure no tools or debris remain in the mower.
    • Reinsert the battery and safety key before testing.

My wheel keeps falling off my Cordless Lawnmower

This article will cover the soft fixes you can take if you are having problems with your cordless lawnmowers wheels.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Wheels can fall off due to vibration in the axle shaking off the fixing parts (washer and circlip). These may not have been fixed properly at factory. You may notice that they are rattling inside your wheel.

Depending on the size of your model, this is how to fix this problem:

  1. Lever off the wheel trim/hub cap.
  2. Locate the flat washer & circlip, which are most likely loose inside the wheel.
  3. Make sure the metal bearings are in place inside the wheel.
  4. Fit the wheel back onto the axle.
  5. Slot on the flat washer, followed by the circlip. Put these flush, as close as possible, to the wheel bearing.
  6. Fit the wheel trim/hub cap back onto the wheel.

Wheel set up for 34cm^ - applies to 34cm blade mowers and above

On smaller models: ie.) 32cm, follow the same procedure as above, but instead of there being a circlip and washer, there is just a 'locking ring' which fixes the wheel in place. There are also no separate wheel bearings, as they are already present in the wheel itself.

Note: If you are missing these axle-fixing parts (washers & circlips or locking ring - or wheel bearings), then please contact our helpline and we may be able to provide you with some replacement parts.

Alternative Resolution: Star Washers

  • If this does not resolve your issue, then please contact our technical helpline via phone or email, and we will be able to send you some 'star washers'. These help to keep the wheel in place, and fix onto the axle. This can be on top of, or instead of, the washer and circlip.

Try the following procedure:

  1. Place wheel onto axle
  2. Place star washer on top of axle, aligned correctly (see image)
  3. Push the sides of the star washer, pushing the opposite side each time. (see image)
  4.  Ensure all of the star washer is pushed onto the axle enough to secure but not too much to create friction on the wheel. Refit wheel cover.

How do I do a battery and charger check on my 108V Cordless Lawnmower

This article covers how to check your battery and charger for your cordless lawnmower.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Charging the battery pack

To ensure the best performance, charge the battery completely before first use. Make sure the mains voltage is the same as rating label which is located on the charger. Remove the battery pack from the charger after it has been fully charged.

Process:

  1. Connect the charger to a power supply. The red LED light on the charger will be on.

  5. If the red LED light flashes, this refers to poor connection between charger and battery pack. Check the adapter cable. It could also be a fault with the battery pack. If under warranty, the battery pack will need to be returned to customer service centre for repairs, or replaced.

Power indicator:

Indicator on battery:

  1. When you push the power indicator button, the green LED lights will show the power remaining.
  2. When the battery pack over discharges or the power is very low, the red LED light will flash.
  3. When the battery pack temperature is exceeded, the red LED light will flash. Cool it down for 10~20 minutes.
  4. When there is a fault with the battery pack, the red LED light will flash.
  5. Once the battery pack is correctly positioned in the charger, the 4 green LED lights of the battery pack will flash to indicate the charging process. The green LED light of the charger will flash continuously during normal charging, while the red LED light remains on.

NOTE - low capacity info for Li-ion battery:

Unlike other battery pack types, lithium-ion battery packs deliver fade-free power for their entire run time. The tool will not experience a slow, gradual loss of power as you work. If the red LED on the battery pack begins to flash, the battery pack’s charge is below 1% capacity and should be recharged.
