Assembly and Operation Guide (Step-by-Step)

The scarifier is designed to remove moss, thatch, and debris from lawns, helping grass grow healthier by improving airflow and soil absorption. (Yard Force UK | For Life On the Go.)

1. Unboxing and Parts Check

Before assembly, remove all items from the box and confirm you have:

  • Main scarifier unit
  • Upper handle
  • Lower handles (left and right)
  • Handle fixing
  • Cable clips
  • Grass collection bag

2. Assemble the Lower Handles

  1. Locate the two lower handle bars.
  2. Position one on each side of the scarifier frame.
  3. Align the handle holes with the mounting brackets on the machine.
  4. Insert the bolts through the holes.
  5. Secure them using the locking knobs or nuts.
  6. Ensure the handles are tightened evenly on both sides.

3. Attach the Upper Handle

  1. Place the upper handle above the lower handles.
  2. Align the connection holes.
  3. Insert the handle bolts from the inside outward.
  4. Add washers if provided.
  5. Tighten using the quick-release clamps or knobs.
  6. Fold the quick-release levers to lock the handle in place.

4. Secure the Power Cable

  1. Run the motor cable along the handle bars.
  2. Use the supplied cable clips to secure the cable to the handle.
  3. Ensure the cable is not loose or hanging where it could catch during use.

5. Attach the Grass Bag to the Machine

  1. Lift the rear discharge flap on the scarifier.
  2. Hook the grass bag frame onto the mounting points.
  3. Lower the flap so it rests on the bag.

6. Set the Working Depth

The machine has multiple depth settings for different lawn conditions.

7. Starting the Scarifier

  1. Press the start button.
  2. Pull the safety lever (clutch bar) toward the handle.
  3. Release the start button while holding the lever.
