My Cordless Hedge Trimmers blades will not cut or move

Modified on Tue, 16 Mar, 2021 at 2:51 PM

This article will cover the soft fixes of the cordless trimmer if the blades stop cutting.

WARNING! Wear safety gloves when working on the cutting device and close to it! Use appropriate tools to remove debris e.g. a brush or wooden stick! Never use your bare hands!

  1. Keep the cutting blade clean and free of debris. Remove trimmings.
  2. Apply a small amount of suitable lubricant along the edge of the cutting device to retain a good cutting performance. (We recommend multi-purpose grease).
  3. Keep the cutting blade sharp. Have a worn or damaged cutting device replaced with a new one of the same type by a qualified specialist.

If your problem persists and the above points do not make a difference, then it could indicate that there is something wrong with the gearing of your machine, or some other mechanical fault. If you are still within your warranty period, please contact us on our helpline or via email.

Note: Do not cut foliage thicker than the stated cutting capacity (refer to your manual) - this ranges from 14mm-24mm, depending on the size of the gaps on your blade.
