How to store your robot mower over winter

Modified on Fri, 12 Jun at 10:22 AM

This article explains how to prepare and store your robot mower during the winter months to help ensure it remains in good condition and is ready for the next mowing season.

⚠️ Important Information

During winter, store your robot mower, docking station, and power supply in a dry, frost-free location.

We recommend storing the equipment in a garage, shed, or preferably indoors.

Preparing Your Robot Mower for Winter Storage

Follow these steps before storing your mower:

  1. Fully charge the battery.
  2. Switch the mower off using the main power switch.
  3. Thoroughly clean the mower, removing any grass, dirt, or debris.
  4. Unplug the power supply from the mains socket.
  5. Disconnect the power supply from the docking station.
  6. Disconnect the boundary wire from the docking station.
  7. Remove and clean the docking station.

The boundary wire can remain installed outdoors. However, it should be protected against corrosion. We recommend using a suitable waterproof sealing tape or water-resistant grease on the exposed wire ends.

  1. If available, store the mower in its original packaging.

Optional Winter Service

Our service centre may offer a winter service for your robot mower. This typically includes:

  • Inspection of key components
  • General maintenance checks
  • Software updates (where available)
